The National Craft Product Quality Award Showcase on March 20, 2025, at Jamaica Pegasus Hotel invites Jamaican craft producers to compete for recognition in excellence, innovation, and competitiveness in craft, visual art, and souvenirs. The winner in each category will receive a trophy, certificate of award, and a cash prize of J$150,000. Entries close on February 12, 2025.


Craft & Coffee Quality Award Showcase:

  • • The Product Quality Awards Showcase aims to recognize and celebrate excellence in product quality from the craft industry. The competition highlights products that stand out in innovation, performance, reliability, and potential buyer satisfaction

  • • Eligibility:

    • To be considered for entry into the competition, all products must be made in Jamaica, by Jamaican citizens, and be consistent with the definition contained in the National Craft Policy of Jamaica for 'Authentic Jamaican craft' (National Craft Policy of Jamaica, p.15),1.

  • • Who can participate:

    • • Artisans, designers, visual artists, and craft producers can submit entries.

    • • Entries must represent commercially viable (potentially) visual art and/or craft products.

    • • Participants can enter multiple products in different categories, but each product concept must be submitted separately.

  • • Submission:

    • Finished products for shortlisted entries must be made available for judging by February 14, 2025, and for exhibition at the Craft and Coffee event on March 20, 2025 (Winners will also be announced at the event). Note, that award winners will be required to sign an Exhibition Agreement.

    • All products will be returned/ available for collection at the Craft and Coffee event, after the announcement of the winners and presentation of the cash prize awards.

  • • Judging and Competition Timelines:

    • A panel of expert judges will review all submissions and score the products based on the criteria outlined.

    • The three products in each category with the highest scores will be exhibited at the Craft and Coffee event.

    • The product with the highest score in each category will be awarded the cash prize.

  • 2. Review and Confirm Your Details:

    • Carefully review all the information you've provided to ensure accuracy. Once confirmed, submit your registration form.

  • 3. Receive Confirmation:

    • After your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.
